NuQuake is a web page/interface of the research group of the numerical modeling of seismic wave
propagation and earthquake motion. The group is led by Professor Peter Moczo and includes seismologists
from the Comenius University
1) and Slovak Academy of Sciences
2) in Bratislava.
The NuQuake group is focused on
-
-
development of the accurate and computationally efficient methods and computer codes for numerical modeling of seismic wave propagation and earthquake motion in structurally complex media
investigation of anomalous seismic motion in local surface structures and site effects of earthquakes
| |
The NuQuake group closely cooperates with seismologists from the foremost European and US institutions, participates in the European and bilateral projects.
The NuQuake group coordinates the SPICE Code Validation – the European effort to test, compare and validate computer codes for the numerical modeling in seismology.
